The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones
Introducing the Lee Nova Mandarin (Citrus reticulata Lee x Nova) is a fantastic semi-dwarf variety of sweet and juicy fruit! A seedless cross between the Lee and the Nova Mandarin has given rise to this early ripening and delectable Citrus tree! The deep red-orange rind is thin and easy to peel making it incredibly kid and lunchbox friendly! The matching red-orange interior is full of sweet juice - perfect for any application from fresh eating to healthy snacks on the go, to adding flavor to your favorite drinks and recipes!
You and your pollinators will enjoy the brilliant and fragrant white flowers that are self-fruitful! Larger than your typical Mandarin, the fruit is formed around October through December among a gorgeous flush of glossy green foliage that remains full all year long! Growing to a neat and tidy 8-12 feet in height and a modest 5-10 feet in width at maturity, you'll easily find a sunny spot to grow your own Mandarins! The lovely fruit even has a long hang time, up to 4 months without losing any of the wonderful flavors, and remains juicy!
The Lee Nova Mandarin is chill-hardy down to USD growing zones 8 through 11 outdoors and will need to be protected from an unseasonably cold snap in winter. Northern growers need not miss out on these delightful fruit trees by potting them up in planters and keeping Lee Nova as a patio fruiting ornamental in all growing zones 4 and up! Just before winter arrives, simply begin acclimating your tree indoors and grow it in a bright sunny window until spring returns!
Planting and Application:
Lee Nova Mandarins are ideal edible landscaping trees! Tuck these space-savers into your existing orchard or make a new orchard with these and other amazing Citrus! Take your orchard linear with a privacy-instilling living wall of evergreen Citrus that the neighbors won’t mind being shielded by! Making this fantastic tree a double-duty edible ornamental!
As a broadleaf evergreen, you’ll enjoy year-round shade and screening plus greenery throughout the year! The dark green foliage fills out its rounded nature well, giving it a vibrant, healthy appearance year-round! Its flowers are a delicate white bloom, and their fragrance will carry easily to the bees and butterflies who will love to stop by for a visit. These Citrus trees can be planted in the yard as a specimen or focal point and would make the loveliest of privacy screens!
Ideal for planters and containers, any full sun location on your porch, patio, or backyard seating area is perfect for growing your own sweet and juicy homegrown fruit! It's not only delicious but also healthy, and peels easily. You won't find another orange anywhere that is easier to peel or less messy to eat. It's especially great for kids who can manage the Orange themselves with no fuss or muss. Keep trained smaller for balconies and rooftop gardens too!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Lee Nova Mandarin trees need full sun to flower and therefore fruit the best. Citrus trees like slightly acidic, very well-drained soils with plenty of organic matter. Let plants dry out a bit between waterings but then water deeply. Ensure containers have adequate drainage so your plant does not sit in water ever! For lush plants with dark green leaves and plenty of fruit, use a light hand with fertilizers but apply them at regular intervals - especially for container-bound plants. For plants that aren't holding on to fruit, consider applying organic citrus fertilizer monthly in spring and again in summer during the growing season. Prune if needed to remove crossing branches, control the size, or open the interior to sunlight and air penetration.
