It is the lowest grower in the FYRE WING™ series, bred by Terra Nova® Nurseries, and forms a mound about 6 inches tall and 11 inches wide.

That low, finely cut mound has enough presence to stand on its own. Set one in a small pot, a rock garden pocket or the front edge of a border, where you can see the leaf shape up close. In a mixed planting it plays well against lime and gold foliage, such as FYRE WING™ Heliodor or Amber.

White to cream flowers rise on wiry stems to about 10 inches in late spring and early summer. The foliage is evergreen to semi-evergreen, so the red holds in the garden after many perennials have died back.

Hematite is deer and rabbit resistant and non-toxic to cats, dogs and horses.

Light: Full sun to part shade.

Water: Keep evenly moist while it settles in.
