The Ninebark Diablos were planted in the spring, along with the container plants under the tree. If you look at number 47 photo under Gardening Photos, you will see how the plants looked in the spring. Some of the shade plants I used are lirope, impatiens, hostas, Hakone Grass, sweet potato vine, and columbine.
