    Trying to beautify

Hi, my name is Kym. I live in a very dry area that has horrible clay soil with awful Ph contents, I want to plant trees, bushes and flowers, but I am fairly new to gardening and not sure what to plant out here. For my flower/plant containers, I use potting soil. I love seeing the hummingbirds and butterflies come to the plant containers, but I want bushes they will come to also. I know about the butterfly bush, just haven't planted one. Also, does anyone know if there is such a thing as a black rose? Maybe a dark, dark purple one? Thanks ~

Hi Kym, and welcome to our community. Your question is one that has been asked so many times as the public really would like a black rose. Unfortunately that rose has not been bred yet. Maybe someday but not yet. I don't even know of a dark purple one that is close to the color black.
