My name is Linda and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Oregon to be exact. Still have much to learn about gardening. I am a pro at buying plants, bulbs and seeds. It's what comes after that where I need to learn much more.
My most current question. I purchased Hyacinths at a bargain price in the early spring that were from last year. I let them finish their cycle and then cut back the foilage. Today, not remembering what was in those little pots, I pulled out 2 very large bulbs from each, um I think its a 4" pot. When I removed them, I discovered they have roots on them! I thought this was the time they go dormat. Do I put them in baggies and put in a dark spot or do I repot them as I took them all out of their pots. Probably 6 - 8 bulbs. I just did this a couple of hours ago so I don't think I have ruined them BUT I do need to save them.
Can anyone here help me? I will be back with many questions. I have quite a few plants and so many seeds I don't even know what I have. Bought many, many packets but did a lot of trading on a site exchanging seeds with others. That was a blast.
