    Newby...

Hi all.  My name is Sarah and I live Calgary, Alberta Canada.  I have a wonderful flamingo willow that I planted last spring.  It has started to develop the green and white leaves at the base of the plant but I'm wondering if I need to cut back last years branches or leave'em and the will bud.  ANyone wiht any advise would be great.  I'm a very new gardener but I love this time of year.

Hi Sarah and welcome! Sorry it has taken so long for someone to welcome you. Here is a great link for pruning your willowhttp://www.ext.vt.edu/departments/envirohort/monthlytips/february/notefebt.html. I look forward to you hearing from you again!
