    Honeycrisp Apples

Is it just me or is the Honeycrisp apple the most flavorful, crisp and juice apple ever! If you haven't tried one you are sure missing out. They are so juicy that you need to keep wiping the juice off your chin. No mushy, gritty apple here, what a pop when you bite off a piece. Here in Omaha the Honeycrisp sell for 50¢ or more per pound versus other popular apple varieties. In my opinion they are worth the extra money.

One of the attributes is the tree does well in colder climates all the way down to zone 3. Giving us Midwesterners a tree that will withstand our colder climate and then put on the best apple on the planet.  Now I’m an apple-eating guy but these gems work well in pies and deserts plus they are great in salads also. Only one other apple comes close and that is the Pink Lady. To mix it up a little I rotate between these two. Give them both a try and I think you will agree with my findings.

Anyone else have any comments on these apples?
