I'm with you on the Hibiscus. We have four planted in our landscape. Due to our Zone 5 climate our hibiscus still have not come up yet this year. Once the heat arrives they will zoom upward and give us huge blooms. I will post a picture in about 30 days. After we planted our hibiscus our next door neighbor fell in love with them also and planted a couple in their yard. So we get to enjoy their plants also. Another perennial favorite of mine is the Husker Red Penstemon (Penstemon digitalis 'Husker Red'). The flowering is early and it attracts butterflies to our yard which is a huge plus to my wife and I.
