    Shade - Tolerant Vegetables.....

    Meaning- do any of you have a garden that get mostly shade?  Well I do- and I decided to share what I found grows best in these types of environment:

    Arugala
    Beans
    Rutabagas
    Beets
    Broccoli 
    Brussels sprouts
    Spinach
    Cauliflower
    Summer Squash
    Celery
    Turnips
    herbs
    Garlic
    Parsley
    Parsnips 
    Peas
    Mint
    Potatoes
    Tarrgon
    Pumpkins
    Thyme
    Radishs

    Which of these grows with relative ease? I want to branch out this year with the veggies that I plant, break away from just tomatos and cucumbers. But honestly my time is so limited, it needs to be something low maintenance.

     Thank you, I filled in my shady spot with herbs that are doing quite well.Big Smile
