    I started this in?

Man I started this is the fifth grade. I use to plant small flowers as a project my teacher use to assign. This topic has brought back special memories. Just thinking about this brought a smile to my face.  I forgot what type of flower it but I do remember the flower having white petals. And the flower wasn't any bigger than maybe your thumb. The middle was an opal brown. They kind of look like little baby daisies.

I think I started mine in the 3rd grade. We had to plant a flower in a plastic cup and water it and nurture it. It was a project which I failed. I have never been good with keeping up with plants but I still try to this day!

It's great that you keep trying!  I'm sure if you ask questions here, everyone can help you plant some nice flowers.  And you will be able to share your successes.

We did something similar in our younger school days. We would always start off planting daffodil bulbs and covering them in a brown paper bag in a warm cupboard, before moving them outside. It was always nice seeing something I cared for growing in the garden!

Wasn't is amazing. I think that puts a kind of love in your heart as a young child. I think every child should get a chance to grow something in school.

I absolutely agree.  There is nothing as great as seeing how proud a child can be, when they know something is growing with their help and love.

And bringing it home to plant in the garden of course was the best and most proud feeling of all. In truth though I loved bring anything home from school pretty much, no matter what it was!
