Juniper - Blue Forest Great All-around Evergreen

The Juniper - Blue Forest, Juniperus sabina 'Blue Forest'.  This evergreen is widely adaptable in your landscape.  It spreads low to the ground with upright branches looking somewhat like a miniature forest.  It's blue green color will complement your house or lawn.  It can spread to about 3 feet and grow to about 12 inches high.

Often you will see it used as a ground cover or incorporated with a retaining wall as it can help make a less than perfect area beautiful, help reduce soil erosion and keep the weeds under control as most will smother underneath the plant.  The Blue Forest does need full sun and should be watered weekly but don't over water.  It's also a nice foundation plant against large bare walls or for mass planting.    It tolerates hot, dry areas and little maintenance is required.  It is very hardy (to -20F) and blight free.  It can also tolerate deer, drought, pollution, rabbits, seashore, slopes and wind.  What a great all-around and versatile plant.
