'Sweet Joanne' Penstemon

The 'Sweet Joanne' Penstemon is Coming Soon! Available only at www.NatureHills.com in July 2008. You can be one of the first to add this plant to your garden landscape.  With its columns of intriguing lavender-pink flowers, the 'Sweet Joanne' puts on a spectacular show. The columns of flowers rise from slender, glossy-green leaves which displays a striking vertical garden element. The flowers are larger and the life span is longer than Penstemon 'Red Rocks' and 'Pike's Peak'. A beautiful accent plant in containers or planters.

The 'Sweet Joanne' exhibits extreme tolerance to insects and diseases. It grows best in moist well-drained and pH-neutral soil. To encourage a partial re-bloom in the fall, deadhead and remove spent flower stems after flowering.

Attributes Gardeners Will Fall In Love With:

  • Bloom period from late May through June
  • Grows in full sun
  • USDA Hardiness Zones 5-9

  • 24" tall by 24" wide
