The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Azalea Planting & Care
One of the many fantastic Azaleas from the Encore® series that are easy to grow and low-maintenance!
Planting Azaleas
- Location: Choose a site with morning sun and afternoon shade for best results.
- Soil: Well-drained, acidic soil with a pH of 5.5–6.5. Amended soil ensures healthy growth.
- Spacing: Space plants 4–5 feet apart to allow room for natural growth.
- Mulching: Azaleas have shallow fibrous roots, so a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist bark chips around the root system keeps them stress-free.
Azalea Care
- Watering: Maintain consistent moisture, especially during the first growing season.
- Fertilization: Apply an acid-loving plant fertilizer in early spring and mid-summer for optimal blooms.
- Pruning: Minimal pruning is needed. Remove spent blooms and shape lightly after flowering.
